PAULA'S SOUTHAMPTON BLOG: LIFE BEGINS AT ANY STAGE

LIFE BEGINS AT ANY STAGE

LIFE BEGINS AT ANY STAGE

After reading the shortest post of all time by Paul Henderson, quoting Grace Hanson: will never begin! , I want to share my experience with the idea of this statement: Don’t be afraid your life will end; be afraid that it will never begin!

The idea, as suggested by Paul in his post, that the young are the ones to focus on when it comes to the direction a life might take, I want to suggest an additional idea on the same theme:

Life can begin at any stage! I feel that way because life can do just that!

Life begins when you finally see your mission. Life begins when you are ready to show who you really are; when you can express who you are without fear,  reservation or self-doubt...and that can start at any stage.

What stage are you in?

You hit the nail in the head, thanks for sharing!

Hi Sham: Thanks for reading this...it is just a little reminder to all of us that we are always growing. Until we decide to pull the shade and leave this world, we are a vital part of it--a living breathing, necessary and growing part of it!

Hi Paula,
Life has many "beginnings".  I think I'm on my 5th beginning or so.

Paula,

What a nice photo.  Life begins in every moment, it is always now, it is always a new beginning...I often think of the words, "begin again.."  A

What an adorable picture that is, Paula.  Life certainly has its stages.  All my grandchildren are grown or nearly grown now, with the youngest being 14.  I've been waiting around for one of them to give me generation 4.

Hi Myrl: That will happen..They come along when they come along and it is not by anyone's timetable. This is my Grand Neice and my sister is so happy--she got 3 all in the same year-two girls and 1 boy all under 2...WooHoo! Be very careful what you ask for!

Hi Kathy: This is such a good way to look at life--and I am seeing every day how true it is that life begins at any time that it is right...as Carol mentions above, I too think I am on about 5 new beginnings!

What a beautiful photo, Paula. Your grand neice is adorable...I also agree completely with your message. We both remind ourselves to live in the moment and look at each day as a new opportunity to begin anew.  Good post for a weekend steeped in the message to"begin again."

Hi Debb: You know, it came to mind with that post from Paul Henderson, that we all have beginnings--many if we are lucky enough to recognize them. I have been around the block a few times and this is the most obvious one to me-- I see/feel it as I am going through it. In the past, my "new beginnings" were viewed in the rearview mirror. I am thankful for that, at this time of renewal!

My friend told me about an article that Malcolm Gladwell did in the New Yorker about late bloomers being just as effective even though society values youth kind of disproportionately.

Hi Kat: And thank you for taking the time to read it--I felt it was appropriate since we are in this time year--a time of renewal. All of us have something to consider about our lives no matter our stage in life. I almost think that when we "give up" so to speak is when we start the march to the end of life--and that can happen at any stage as well...so this was from the heart and meant for ALL to consider their pathway....
