Never has the sun shown so brightly; never so intensely! It is almost summer in Southampton Village and we all know what that means....we will see the crowds of summer revelers arrive in another few weeks and the world will never be the same!

Why is that, you say? Because for all the years of world travelers coming here to these beaches and Villages here in the Hamptons, no one has ever had a miserable time! In fact the best times are had right here in this treasured resort. Now world travelers come here to live, more and more for a year round lifestyle---away from the city and the rest of this mad, mad world!SUMMER IN SOUTHAMPTON VILLAGE--ON THE BEACH

The sea is at it's deepest hue in the summer and all the life around Southampton Village is ready for the best of times and you can feel it in the sunny air. Summer 2013 will be just like that, of that you can be sure!

When a beach looks like the one on the right, you can bet it is a Southampton beach; in fact you will know that it is a beach right here in Southampton Village...because we have the whitest sand and the bluest water anywhere on the planet!

COOPERS BEACHFor the best beach in the world, come to Coopers Beach on Meadow Lane, in Southampton Village....THE place to be seen and to see the people who appreciate the sandy beaches and who fill The Hamptons every summer. Take the time to relax and enjoy the pleasures of this beautiful summer resort!

There are places galore where you can take your family and go for the day; maybe even a hike for those who treasure the scenic walk ways and trails that are here and have been trod by generations of the adventurous Eastern Long Island population!

Just to give you an idea of houses available for sale here in the Southampton Village real estate market this one has everything you could want or need to live here and to enjoy your life here. summer,LITTLE PLAINS AREA ASKING: $5.5MIL. BACK OF HOUSE winter or all year round! This house is under construction with a late summer completion. All the benefits of "proximity" apply here; you can walk to the center of town, to the ocean which is just .60 of a mile away and take your favorite hike on a trail right nearby.

The house is a Federal Style traditional. Emulating the early summer houses here in the Hamptons, this stunning classic has 7 bedrooms with 8 baths and 2 powder rooms, an open kitchen, family room and all the other desirable features of a resort get-away...all just seconds to the Atlantic Ocean!

The Variety of homes is vast; classic styles still dominate and yet you can find the rare Modern home in this very special early American settlement. Even though it was founded in the 1640's this end of Long Island is crowned by the Hamptons---aTHE FRONT OF THE WAVE, A MODERN COMPOUND place for world travelers to come to relax and to seek solace from the busy and complicated lives of today!

Shown here are two views of the same house on 1.3 acres of land on Flying Point Road--and just moments to the best beaches and shops in the world. On the left you can see the ingenuity of the architect where he incorporated his "wave" in the front entryway. On the right, you see how the beauty of the land and house make the theme "The Wave" come to life....a treasure of a home in the most beautiful of all the Hamptons: Southampton Village

This is the place to be, the place to live at least in the sunny summer months! What could be better than to have your own place in the sun?

There many older homes that are waiting for renovation or tear down. If the building itself is in relatively good condition and can be brought up to date with several simple upgrades, it is well worth it in this real estate market.  I would add great landscaping too and that would increase the value for the new homeowner--to live in or to "flip"...

Any way you look at it--there are options here in Southampton, NY and there are many ways to own your place in the sun!IRVING TOWNHOUSE IN THE ESTATE SECTION OF SOUTHAMPTON VILLAGE

One way is to buy a townhouse; this is a great way to live here in the Village if you don't want the costs and required care of a house and it's grounds. One of only 8 Units, the Irving Townhouse on the right is the front of a new listing here in the Village--This one is like a clean slate--ready for someone to come and make their own statement. You can't beat the location: Out your front door, go 2 blocks to all the best shops and World Class restaurants! The Library, theater and the Southampton Historical museum are all right there!

Here, a list of places to visit while you are here in Southampton Village:

  • Coopers Beach on Meadow Lane, on the Atlantic Ocean
  • Little Plains Beach at the very end of Little Plains Road and Gin Lane, on the Atlantic Ocean
  • Agawam Park on Lake Agawam, in the heart of the village on Jobs Lane
  • Southampton Historical Museum, The Rogers Mansion, on Meeting House Lane in the heart of the THE BOARD WALK AT SHINNECOCK BAYVillage
  • Shinnecock Bay, access on Meadow Lane in the Village
  • World Class restaurants, i.e.: Red Bar, San Ambroise,Delmonicos, Tutto Il Giorno, Silvers, Plaza Cafe, Little Red
  • World Class Shops

These will keep you busy for a few weeks--the rest of the time you will want to venture out to the see the rest of the public beaches in Southampton Village. Here they ALL are from West (the furthest away) to East (the nearest):

  • Road G on Meadow Lane
  • Dune Beach " "

Paula, sounds like you are definitely the go-to person for anything connected to the Hamptons.  Is it really almost spring?

Posted by Lora "Leah" Stern 914-772-4528, Real Estate Salesperson (Coldwell Banker, 170 N Main Street, New City NY 10956) about 6 years ago

Lora: It is!! Do you believe it? I have seen homeowners out here cleaning up their properties and starting to trim hedges! Of course that is early for hedge trimming but I see that the damage from Irene and then the terrible heavy snowfall we had 2 weeks ago is so bad that something has to be done now--hedgerows and even trees have been split right down the middle from the weight of that snow fall!

Joan: It is an unforgettable place---I came here in 1975 as a very young person and I have never forgotten that time.

Joe: I hope I am the "go-to person" here..there are many who might disagree! The real estate market here is very competitive and as a result I a always looking for ways to differentiate...blogging has helped me out tremendously!

Scott: You will have the time of your life--if yucome in the summer! During the rest of the year we are a normal everyday community and those are the times I have learned to love!
