HAVE YOU PLUGGED INTO THE ACTIVERAIN "OUTLET"???....Are YOU Taking Full Advantage?

HAVE YOU PLUGGED INTO THE ACTIVERAIN "OUTLET"?....Are you taking full advantage???

PLUGGING INTO ACTIVERAINAfter I wrote my last featured post and read all the many comments on it, I realized that the average member here on ActiveRain has no idea of the numerous things that they can find and learn right here in the Rain! ActiveRain has a veritble "OUTLET" of ideas, tips and advise that is available to all of us as members of AR.

 MULTI TASKING ON ACTIVERAIN

One big surprise is the number of members who do not know about www.realestateshows.com. I mentioned it briefly to make a point and as a result there were at least 6 members who needed the web address.

So,I want to put to rest the mystery of AR--the big wonder of what you can learn here and how you can find information on any topic pertaining to real estate blogging, marketing and mortgages. It is a relatively easy thing to do, but most of the posts that I learned from have disappeared into the nether-world, not to be seen again!

.....NOT SO FAST! There are many informational posts here that are still available for your use.

  • At the very top of this page you will see a Search mechanism. Use it freely to find members, posts, information and many things that you need to locate here on AR. It is a Google search and it will amaze you to see the endless number of contributing bloggers and their informative posts!
  • Use the Search button to find any topic you are curious about regarding business, real estate, etc.
  • ASK QUESTIONS; Anyone on AR is ready willing and able to help you out, if they have the answer.
  • Contact another member with a question via email.
  • Phone a friend;...call another member for advise or to give advise.PHONE A FRIEND, EMAIL A MEMBER

I have used  the Search button and found the most fascinating information at my finger tips. Here are just a few topics I have found there:

  1. HOW TO BLOG
  2. MARKETING YOURSELF IN THE NEW REAL ESTATE MARKET
  3. HOW TO SELL SHORT SALES AND REOS
  4. LISTING EXPIREDS
  5. MAKING REAL ESTATE SHOWS
  6. HOW TO MAKE AND PUBLISH VIDEOS
  7. WHAT IS SEO AND HOW TO USE IT
  8. RECOMMENDED SEO EXPERTS
  9. REAL ESTATE TECHNOLOGY
  10. HOW TO EMBED PHOTOS INTO A BLOG POST AND EMAIL
  11. HOW TO EMBED VIDEOS INTO A BLOG POST AND EMAIL
  12. MAKING AND PUBLISHING YOUTUBE VIDEOS

.....and on and on! Just use the Search button and you will have an amazing amount of technology at your finger tips! You can become just as proficient as anyone else by using the information that is available to all members of ACTIVERAIN!!!

Debbie: I have not had any trouble using it because I think it is just plugged into Google but it is AR friendly...many posts come up with just a one word search. That is great for when I am looking for someone or something in particular.

Hi Paula - AR Search has a lot of good info, but is not always organized the best. Another way to search AR is to do an advanced search in Google, and limit the results to just those from "activerain.com".

Rebecca: Good--keep on using it and I will too! :)

Maureen; Go fo it Girl! I know there is a lot of stuff you have to wade through but it is worth it in the end!

Dawn: It does work---as I said above. there is a lot of stuff sometimes that you have to wade through but it is worth it....

Kate: Good luck with it .....and good luck with your blogging too!

Marcie: I do too--never thought of doing that---saves having to wade through a lot of extraneous information. real estate show is a great find--I use it for videos too..

Hi Paula -- so good to hear from you again...how is Yogi doing? Your thechnical sequential analysis in how to incorporate and further implement those mysterious 'gadgets' is soo much appreciated! Time permitting from other study breaks, I will passionately embrace further topics and groups of interest in the fabulous AR.

In general the AR system has got some very special attributes and from the courageous and talented subscribers mega tons of professional ideas to dwell into - as well as an outlet for those of us, who at times may encounter some shadows on the music of life and here, with the powerful collective inspiration shared we "close ranks" - on (professional, iterpersonal or emotional dramas) again.

In particular I would like to commend your open and helpful attitude for SHARING...it seems to me, that you 'read' the tumultous subconscious of some of us, and then, your subconscious connected to the "collective mind" and, hence your inspirational post, not for the 1st time, to so many of us, hence I suggest. Thank you!

I think many just think you come here to blog and have no idea about the rest. I would say any new agent would be crazy not to join on day one. It's like having a team of brokers and mentors. Even us non rookies learn new things every day.

Beth: I use Favorites for a limited number of things--like AR or my company site because I forget that I saved something, never use it and it overloads my Favoites so that I can't find anything there.

Brenda: Yes, it is a wealth of information---and lets hope it will make us all "wealthy" one day!

Heather: Good luck with it---make sure you share the shows with your sellers too---they love to see their properties in the spotlight.

Suzanne: Follow on! I love it when people appreciate what I share!

Corinne: It' true!! I learn something everyday from here...the great thing is, I am given the time and the attention, by other members, if I want to go into depth on a subject. I learn new things better if I can do it myself and practice as I go---referring back to a post or asking questions to do it right! I like learning here better than going to a class personally :)

AR is a great informational source for Real Estate questions.  Whenever I have questions about a product or real estate, I just do a search and 98% of the time, I can certainly find a post about it.

Posted by MeLisa Minter, Realtor, Taylor Lake Village Real Estate Broker (RE/MAX Space Center) over 7 years ago

Paula - the search tab is one of the most important features of AR. When I first became a member I searched on topics relentlessly, and it was invaluably helpful. Even now when I am having difficulty on a short sale, I will come to AR, search the bar, and see who has dealt with the same situation. There is content for every topic I've ever thought to search.

Luna: If you are confused--just ask questions in a post and you will get help; just watch as memebers respond!

Bill: you are going to love those shows; very easy to learn and to create one for a listing. I had an owner tell me that he had never had anyone do that before for his property--I do it for all price points too---that helps!

ehomes: You are going to love it!

Irene: good for you--maybe you can teach us all a thing or two as well....

Fernando: You got it! Sometimes it helps you  to ferret out a different approach to the next post on the same subject matter....it's a great tool!

Paula,

What I've done is, allocate a Favorites File that's named Active Rain and whenever I find some thing that I feel is educational I bookmark/put it in there. BTW, I just bookmarked this one.

I've used the search button before as well, but, NOT enough. In fact I just found something that every AR blogger out there needs to read, especially the ones that when you read their blog, unless you have a 32" monitor, your side bar keeps going and going.

Check it out:

Thanks for posting.

Mike: Thank you! There is a bottomless source of information---serach on!

Joyce: I will! Of that you can be sure--I love sharing information here on AR. So many other members do too so it becomes a fountain of free advise and tech information you can't get anywhere else!

Dimitri: Thank you so much for sharing that---once in awhile I find a post that does that nor border thing and it is very hard to concentrate was I manipulate the curser---I think everyone else will find this helpful a well.

Frank and Karen: Great! Enjoy it....

Gina: You bet---I am seeing the way giving can bring in new information too--just as Dimitri shared on his comment above!

Search button. It couldn't be more obvious, but do you think I ever touched it. Thank you Paula

Robert: It took me over a year to start using it--I began by looking to see if people I had invited to join AR ever did---(only three people out of over 20 have joined)then I could see that blog posts are on there and then I discovered that certain subjects which I needed more information about could be pulled up there as well---it was like an epiphany, showing me the true and exceptional value of AciveRain!
