HOW DO YOU EAT AN ELEPHANT?....Bite by Bite!!!

In one of my last posts  HOW DO YOU MARKET YOURSELF???...Keep Up Or Lose Out!, I had a few comments that made me stop and think about the approach I brought up in that post: You need to begin to catch up or you will lose out.....The less I DO Question: HOW DO YOU EAT AN ELEPHANT?...Answer: Bite by Bite!!!and the longer I wait to begin using the new technology available in the marketplace...the more behind I fall!

I had several comments on that post that opened the door to the idea that "being out front" in the race to get the leading edge is the way to approach the new ways of marketing yourself today.

If one thinks that way, consider this: If we are all out front....there will be no "front"!!!

...NO! We are not in a race to get there. This is a very serious and careful decision one must make to get involved and to begin the process.

 

IT DOES NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT!

To take the idea that you will just step up and be successful the day you start doing things differently or better, is a fallacy and I want to clear up that idea right away!

That way of thinking will defeat the best intended agent if they jump in with both feet, without testing something first, and fail to get immediate results.

It takes time to establish a new program....a new blog... a new format....or a new advertising venue! Once one realizes this, the pressure is off and then success can be realized, over time. How MUCH time that will take will be determined by market conditions, your location and your drive to get it going. It took me 4 years to get my blog recongized by a wide audience and that was in the weakest housing market we have ever had here in The Hamptons.

Time is the valuable key here--give it time and they will come! 

BE CREATIVE

In my last featured post, A COMPREHENSIVE MARKET ANALYSIS CAN BE VERY PERSONAL.... I mention how important it can be to "talk" to the seller when doing a pitch package--think out side the box in other words. Making my pitch packages more personal and working with buyers in a more personal way is my new found key to getting new business and new listings.

It does take time to do it all but getting in there and doing what feels right, more personal and more creative is fun! You will enjoy doing it if it is on target!

Just ask yourself: HOW DO YOU EAT AN ELEPHANT?....Bite by Bite!!!
